barge ? We are the proud owners of the Dutch barge “Waterman”. She was our
home for five years whilst we cruised the canals
of France on an extended vacation. We have
recently purchased a canalside house and whilst we are restoring it we do
not have time to cruise our boat. We are seeking boaters with reasonable experience
to rent the boat for a longish period of, say about three months in 2006.
Friends have taken her for the last four years. She is based in central France.
The boat is a Dutch barge
and is 15m long and 4.1m wide. She has all home comforts including central
heating, microwave,
fridge and freezer. The accommodation comprises
of three double cabins, kitchen area , dinette, a shower/toilet and a wheelhouse
area that doubles as a lounge. She has her own generator, washing machine
and tumble drier.
